I think I'm going to have enough. My last purchases were all disastrous.
I'm not sure if I'm really demanding too much.

1- one of the best known suppliers in Germany sells a surfactant mixture (really a concentrated mixture of anionic and nonionic and amphoteric surfactants) and claims it is a conditioner base
Well, I thought it would be impolite to mention that it is a shampoo base and not a conditioner base and asked them what is the suggested dilution to prepare a hair conditioner from that surfactant base?
The response:
we do not know, it is something your formulator should find out
2- Another prominent supplier sells a mixture which is classified as "stabilizer" by the manufacturer as a preservative
3-I bought about 40 kgs of M&P base from a supplier in 3 different purchases. All came with exactly the same batch number. By the last delivery I received 2*5 kg (with the identical batch number) with totally different appearances and characteristics. As I called the vendor to inform him and ask whether they have probably made a mistake in the stock, I had to hear a speech for 30 minutes making weather, humidity, fragrance, color, additives, mold and what else on earth guilty but not accepting that the bases were different.
4- I asked another vendor about the Inci name /more information about the honey powder he is selling(whether it is hydrolyzed honey, comb extract, hydrolyzed honey protein etc.) , he wrote me that the INCI lexicon could be bought at xxx€ in Internet

Is that not enough to get mad? I think I've reached my FLASH POINT.
I'm considering for a long time to begin distribute ingredients and instructions instead of getting mad with the suppliers in Germany and I think I've reached the saturation point of my patience.

Do you have similar experiences with your suppliers?

It happens over here in the US, too. When I buy supplies I want the supplier to KNOW about the products they carry so that if I have a question I can get an informed answer. Or, at the least, the supplier be willing to find out the correct answer. That's why I like BrambleBerry and a couple of other suppliers and use them exclusively.

I think it's a wonderful idea for you to become a distributer since you feel so strongly about the products and their correct uses. Please let us know if you decide to go forward with this.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

Not BrambleBerry, but I've had some suppliers now willing to disclose their ingredients for cosmetic formulations or not having a MSDS sheet. I'm not talking about fragrances, since those I know have proprietary formulas.
