Some vendors include the sales tax in the price of their product beforehand and write "sales tax included" on the receipt and some calculate it separately on the receipt. Technically, aren't they required to state the amount of sales tax? I ask because I am selling in 6 weeks at a craft fair and I want to know how to handle sales tax correctly. Thanks!

Not all the states have the same requirements so you'll probably need to check on the VA state website to verify what you should do. In TN, I can sell at Farmer's Markets and craft fairs and I don't have to collect sales tax if I make less than $3000/year. If I were to sell online or in a retail store, I would have to collect sales tax no matter how much I made.
