Teach Soap

I'm wondering if you can soap while pregnant? Should my husband do the lye mixture or should I get a special ventilator? And I know there are certain FO's and EO's to stay away from...

Anne Marie soaped through her whole pregnancy so I am going to say it's probably fine. You may want to wear a mask if you are worried about fumes.

Totally - I soaped throughout my entire pregnancy but I did have the precaution of someone else mixing my lye just to be on the safe side (otherwise, I would have worn a mask). I did clear it with my Dr so make sure you clear it with your baby doc of course. The worst part of soaping at 8 or 9 months was definitely the standing (ha ha). I felt so heavy on my feet those last few months. =)

I did as well! Was just super cautious of the lye fumes. Mask and open windows. Also didn't use any EO's but I was nervous and didn't know much about which were safe or not.

I do remember my belly getting in the way a lot! Also, you (ok, at least I) tend to get clumsy during pregnancy so be careful as far as that goes!

Thanks so much. I will definitely keep these things in mind. And my husband will be more than happy to mix my lye so I should be all good! Whew!
