I bought some Precision ph 1-14 test strips and I had no idea what I was looking for. I dipped into one of my lotions and nothing happened the tip was still orange. Anyway I decided to try the same lotion today, about 4months after I made it and still nothing. I called Precision and they told me that the strips may not work for what I am doing. Can anyone tell me exactly how to make sure what I make is ph balanced and safe or should I go to the local college and find a chemistry class :?:

I would learn all you can about HLB values in lotion, or buy a PH meter at Lotioncrafter.com

What does HBL stand for? I didn't know your lotion needed to be checked for PH?
