Teach Soap

So my boyfriend and I went to Seattle the other week and did some house hunting. We looked at 6 condos and townhouses since we don't need a home yet. It's just the two of us and we aren't yard work people...

We put in an offer on the 4th place we saw and the sellers accepted! Yay! We should be moving sometime in June/July ish depending on how fast we can run out of the east coast!

Unfortunately that's where the good news ends. My family has decided to not only voice disapproval but they've become extremely passive aggressive with me. My dad is just aggressive at this point. You'd think this move was all about them with how they carry on! It's a mix of hurt and infuriating on my part. I'm at the point where I'm ready to snap at them. My mom is somewhat supportive if not a little too nosy. But Phil and his family really came through with positivity and support.

And I get my own office which means... Soap business hopefully starting up late this year or early next year!

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

Yeah we nixed Florida pretty fast. Between Phil's inability to tolerate any heat and my asthma I don't think we'd survive long in Florida! Plus I didn't want to pay even more shipping for my brambleberry stuff!

Seattle is so nice guys! It even rains less than NY! If you're fine with some clouds and mild seasons it's a great place to go. The real estate and taxes are way better than Pennsylvania and Connecticut too! So it all works out.

I pay almost nothing in brambleberry shipping, the weather is more stable and I get a soap room!

Congratulations! Do NOT let negative family members spoil your excitemement and happiness. You are an adult and made an adult decision and if they cannot support you in it, then that's a shame on them. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do. This is your life. Your parents are probably concerned that you are entering a legal contract with a person to whom you are not married. It gets super sticky if one of you wants out of the relationship. Still, it is your decision to make.

I am moving to Eugene, OR sometime in the next 1-2 years and I signed a construction contract today. Yes, it can be scary to make a big change. Do it anyway. Life is too short to not be happy. I am excited for you. Enjoy your new home and life together.

You might want to get rain boots and an umbrella . . .
