I've never heard of an olive oil crust, but my father always made a canola oil crust. Personally, I didn't care for it, but he swore it was the best crust ever.

1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 cup canola oil

I don't know that you could substitute olive oil for canola.

Coconut oil...? I would rather say, any oil is harmful for heart. I have noticed it myself too. When I started taking oily food I began to feel slow, tired and very lethargic in my work. I showed no heart problem though, but I certainly started feeling sick. So, I returned to my normal diet. I exercise everyday and eat food with less (very less) oil.

There are different types of fats/lipids/oils and fatty acids. Some are not only good for your body, but are required by your body, and some are more healthy than others. I certainly don't want to give a nutrition lecture, but if you are interested they are worth reading up on for sure.

Barq, since this threat floated to the top (if you are still visiting us) I am wondering if you ever had that scan done? How did it turn out? Hope you are well and I am praying for you.
Ps- I have had to experience the Mexican health care system a couple of times on my visits there.... was very impressed.
