Teach Soap

A friend of mine does HP and asked me if you can use Goat Milk in HP. Since I only do CP, I thought I'd come here to ask some people that are more "in the know" than I am .
So....GM in HP? Yes? If so, any particulars to watch out for?

Sure you can! The main thing is to not allow the milk to scorch. Tell your friend to have fun!

She also mentioned that she was worried the heat would destroy the properties of the milk. Any thoughts on that?

As long as you don't burn it, it works the same as doing it in cp soap. It doesn't get any hotter in hp than it gets during the mixing and gel portion of cp. It will heat up the batch a lot, so you sometimes need to beat it down in the pot, if you do it that way (the crock pot works pretty well without that issue in my experience).

I should also add that I use a slurry/frozen milk, as I do in cp soap.
