I have a batch of my GM soap that is still quite creamy. Only 6% superfat but first time to use Black Raspberry Vanilla FO. Same recipe as day before and it is very firm. This seems like it will disappear very quick with use. A friend called and had the same thing happen. Is it the FO?

I've only made 2 batches with it but so far no problems at all. Smells awesome even after cure!

I always have Black Raspberry Vanilla soaps in stock as they are a favourite among friends. Never had any issues with it being any different to other soaps though. I've always bought it from BB or NG....

I haven't had any problems with the NG version. Love it!

While this has nothing to do with Black Raspberry Vanilla FO, I have made two batches of CP exactly the same but just different FO and had the two batches come out completely differently. The only other difference might have been soaping temp (I tend to soap hot). It could just be the soap gremlins.

How long has it been out of the mold? How long has it cured?

By creamy do you mean soft?

Does it zap? (Wet your finger and rub it on the soap. Stick it to the tip of your tongue. If it tastes soapy, it's good. If it tingles, it is lye heavy.)
What was your water percentage? By now, it should be firm. You might have to rebatch it to evaporate the water. Is it out is the air to dry? It should have hardened by now if it is "soft".

Hi folks. Sorry, have not been on for a while. Yes, my soap was very creamy feeling but it did finally harden. Love the fragrance so it will be a keeper. No zap problem, no color problem, just easy to push a finger in for a while. Thank you for all the posts. It is a great seller.
