Can someone give some pointers for working with Beeswax in soap. What are the true benefits with using beeswax in soap other than label appeal? Anyone have any successes??? Failures??? Please let me know?

I've used beeswax twice in soap. Both times the soap turned out pretty nice. Beeswax adds to the hardness of the bar. Beeswax also is a barrier that helps to keep moisture in. From what I've read adding beeswax can also help prevent ash.
If your going to add it to soap I'd use 1-3% in a batch. Don't want to use too much because it will cause the bar to "drag" on the skin.

Beeswax makes for a harder soap. Try it at 1%.

Are there any problems due to the high melt point of the beeswax?
