ive been checking my oil temp and lye temp before combining the two when making cp soaps. when i looked up how to make salt soap, you only have to make sure your oils where at 100 degrees but just add lye with temp as is. is this correct? :?

I don't think I'd follow that advice. Use the same procedure.

Powell I believe Hestey or Sudsyfun make salt bars, pm them and ask. As a general rule you do not want the oils and lye outside of 10 degrees different from oils

Yeah, keep your oils and lye within 10 degrees of one another. I usually aim for 110* F. :mrgreen:

I had made a salt bar with coconut milk, 2 weeks ago. This was my first attempt at a salt bar
I was sweating but now it is lying in a pool of glycerin. Is this normal?
