Teach Soap

Hi everyone, been lurking a while and this is my first post.

I have just poured my first ever goatsmilk soap- I mixed powdered milk with reserved oils and added at trace. I also added some honey. It's about a 5 lb batch. I have a 4lb log mold which I have just attempted my first ever textured top.

Some say honey and milk will make this get warm all on it's own- I would like it to gel. Should I not put it in a slightly warm oven? Eeeks. I'm watching it like a hawk for fear of overheating...

I am the worst when it comes to gelling my soaps- I most often CPOP, and I have to look every 5 minutes even though I know you're not supposed to. I can't help myself!!

From top left:
First attempt at ITP swirl- in spiced mahogany from BB, Unfortunate Purple Haze which isn't so purple (hence pink mica on top) in Raspberry, and Eucalyptus/Lavender/Tee Tree soap which didn't turn out how I would have liked...
From bottom left:
First ever layering attempt with pumpkin, Peppermint swirl soap, a faux funnel pour that was so wonky I'm still not sure if it gelled or not, and Vanillla with dark brown swirl.

Not a one of them is perfect, but I love them haha. Mostly for family and friends for Xmas.
Here's hoping tonight's endeavor works out better

The goatsmilk in the log mold slightly overheated- so much for textured tops as they melted. Other than being a slightly darker tan than the individual molds (they all gelled) they all look and smell great! I used a Milk & Honey fragrance that I can't remember the company that it came from.
