Hi, I am new to making Cold process (I make MP soap) and I tried making the CP soap blue, but when I mixed the soap it wasn't really blue looking. I also tried purple, but it turned out the same. Do you know what happened? Any suggestions?

It is hard to help without knowing your CP soap recipe or which colorants you used. Were the colorants used stable for high pH soaping? Some colorants morph in CP and some go gray. Some depend greatly on the amount used. Other ingredients in your soap can change the color too. For instance, add blue to a soap that has orange eo in it and it makes the soap green. If you post more info on your batches, maybe we can give you some specifics. This forum is great for help!

You need colorants specifically for CP, due to the high pH.
