I am starting my first of HP soap....wanted to give it a whirl. :) I do have a question about adding my fragrance. I am going to add some spearmint fragrance...do I add it before or after the cook? Do I add as much as I would if I am making a CP batch? Just want to make sure I get it correct...

Add it after the cook. You may not need as much as with CP. 8)

It's also wise to check the flashpoints of whatever fo's and eo's you use before adding them. You can let the soap cool to below the flashpoint before adding your scent. If the cooked soap is too hot for the scent, it may flash off.

I only added half the scent that I would have if I hadn't cooked it. I think it could have done with only 1/4, but my whole house smells wonderful. I used spearmint from BB. Love it. Also tried an embed for the first time. Borrowed an idea I saw on here. Here are pics of my first ever HP soap!
