So, I tried Goat's milk with fresh pumpkin and liquid silk tonight. Everything looked great, but then after 10 minutes of sitting, it started oozing oil from the sides. Thought I might have a volcano on my hands, but it's not mushrooming. Looks normal but oil is just seeping, not on top .. only from the side of the mold. Smells like fragrance, but who knows. Not a huge amount, but enough to cover the lip of the loaf pan. Should I rebatch or see how it goes? Never used pumpkin before!

Did you reach true trace? At what temp did you combine the oils and lye? Did you account for the water in the pumpkin in your recipe? Did you use a stick blender? It could be the fragrance seeping out. Is the FO made for soaps?

Hmmm. I used the Brambleberry Pumpkin recipe as my base. 10 oz of coco/palm/olive and 1.25 castor. Added pumpkin pie from brambleberry as fragrance. Added almost 2oz pumpkin and 3/4 t liquid silk. Used 6.3 oz water and 4 oz goat (not condensed) . Thinking I soaped too hot - 120-125. I did use stick blender and got a medium to thick trace. It was covered in oil by the time I decided to rebatch. Any thoughts?

Thanks!!!!

I've only used BB Pumpkin oi a batch once. Mine separated into curds and whey and stayed that way even with hot processing it. It went in the trash and I never made it again. My recipe was different from yours. Try to to rebatch, you might be able to save it. Don't add any extra water at this point though.
