With WHIPPED SOAP!!!! AHHHHH! I LOVE IT!

I must say, I was debating giving the whole "rebatch" thing a try for kicks and grins. For just because I wanted to, that's why :) But then...I dunno...I got to looking at the famous "Nizzy website" I have seen so much mention of and I couldn't stop myself. I couldn't help myself. I HAD TO DO IT! Plus the weather has finally been cooler a bit here - cool enough that my palm and coconut oil were solid for the first time EVER - which is what made me think whipped soap would be a good idea :)

I totally have a new favorite! I thought HP was my favorite because it was so cool to watch things develop almost right before my eyes. But now it has been overshadowed by this whipped soap, and things will never be the same!

I have noticed, so far, just to me myself and my eyes alone these things:
- Whipped soap seems to be MUCH easier on the goat milk (yes I pasteurized it first, just FYI)it's been several days and still that soap is BRIGHT WHITE - I LOVE IT!!!
- whipped soap is wonderful entertaining fun to watch transform as well and I see so many possibilities in it's future with me :)
- whipped soap is more fun to "play with" - yes, I know...lye...fresh lovely dangerous lye...but still, even in gloves and goggles I had a freaking blast! I used ziploc bags to pipe some into "soap cookies" and though I am no master piper (or whatever you call it) they are pretty darn nifty!

So - to anyone still reading....if you are still here....tell me this: Am I the only one enthralled by this soap in whipped form? Or are there others like me who have fallen in love? I LOVE this stuff! Can't wait to see if it floats...I'll get ya'll some pics tomorrow!

I find it hysterical (or amazing) that you posted this. I am not in love with it....yet! I was reading about the whipped soap this weekend and contemplating making some. Post pics when you can so we can see!

I made it when Nizzy first started with this method. It was fun and I though I will sell lots. I didn't. People didn't like the fact that the size of whipped soap weighed less then my regular bars and they were both the same price. It is a novelty as it does float. I want back to my regular best sellers.

I'm planning to do whipped soaps, but just to hand out to the kiddos at the markets (with parental permission, of course!), not for sale.

for me, I don't feel it is worth the extra steps since I'm coming from a sales stand point. but fun to try!

See, for me at least, it is really not about the sales view point at all at this point in time - I am still at the "experiment and learn stage"...so it is one more thing I have had the chance to experience and it was something I enjoyed. Knitting, for example, was something I tried to learn and I LOATHED every minute of it...crochet I love....similar, yet different...soap is much that way as well...similar yet different techniques.

You never know, one day I might be clever enough to make a gorgeous CP soap topped with this fancy-pants whipped "frosting"....until then I shall just have to play with things to get the hang of it and become more comfortable with the process in general as far as soaping goes...I want to try it all, little by little, before I start adding it together into more complex things - like cupcake soaps with whipped soap frosting...I ain't touching stuff like that until I can learn the basics each step along the way :)

I'm totally new to this whipped soap! I'm so curious, what are the different or extra steps por it being "whipped"? would you share your recipe with me?
Thank you!

Also new. I know they say don't use food tools for soap making and don't use soap tools for food. What about the kitchen aid to whip soap? I'm seeing a lot of youtubers use their kitchen aids to make soap....? Bad idea?

All my soap tools are for soap only...I just couldn't imagine crossing some of that stuff with food...mostly not even the lye that bothers me, but could you imagine a mouth full of any fragrance? Leave just a little on there and you'll be tasting it for days I bet! YUCK!

And yes - I got lucky, because we managed to inherit a ton of kitchen type supplies - but you would be surprised the stuff you can find on craigslist and at yard sales...

It also can happen with CPOP. Lots of times my oven will smell like whatever soap I made.
