Teach Soap

Yup....I dunno, I wasn't gonna do it but...I said to myself, "Self...I don't think we should color our soap, it's natural goat milk soap"...and originally Self and I agreed...but danggit all! Today I said to myself, "Self, I think we NEED a brightly colored pretty soap" and so it came to pass I have a tid-bit of froo-froo color stuffs coming...just a tad

Ya'll have some of the most colorful, beautiful, vibrant creations and I have a little envy going on...just a smidge. I like the pretty colors, lovely patterns, creativity...I keep sniffing that "Energy soap" and thinking I should have had bright colors to go with it LOL

So I did it...kinda...I ordered the pigment sampler pack. Not a ton of stuff, something small and easy to start with. Something I can work up to in a bit...because I am actually kinda starting to envision matching colors to go along with things now...yup, major color envy for sure!

So...this week I have gotten over my fear of scents...next week or the week after I will conquer my fear of color - one small batch at a time! Now if only I can teach a goat to clean up the soap making mess for me I'd be a truly happy camper

I can totally relate...I do some colors, but most of my soaps are naked. I really want to try micas, but the ones I've used so far have morphed into not so pretty colors. I'm glad there is another thread that lists good micas to use in CP. I'll definittely be ordering some of them. I also love the lab colors, but they bleed.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

Everything I get, I get from BB...well, pretty much everything has come from them, except my lye I got from AAA chemical here in Texas (split an order with a friend and they are super close, took one day to get here - though shipping was still cheaper than my gas to go down there for).

I'm a lot nervous...but I think once it gets here I will have some fun with it. I will finally have pics to post that don't all look like the same plain old bar of soap for a change
