hellew everyone!

i have a rebatch question. i've done a basic rebatch recipe using BB's luxury rebatch base. wonderful stuff.

i would love to make a salt soap out of rebatch. has anyone tried this? if so, would anyone mind sharing how much salt to use and when to add it? also, what kind of salt do you think would be best? i have dead sea, pink Himalayan and Epsom salts.

i use a crock pot to melt my rebatch; and actually add enough water to make it less mash potato-y. it came out just fine the first time with some great bubbles and color. i even got to swirl it!

i tried a wonderful recipe to do this with MP, but it sweat horribly, so i abandoned it. now i'd love to try it with rebatch.

I've rebatched and added sea salt before. It doesn't turn out even close to nice old CP salt soap though.
I added salt in equal amounts of the weight of my soap. I added the salt right before I mashed the soap into the molds.

Don't use dead sea salt, it holds in moisture, which causes weeping. Is your himalayan & epsom salts finely ground? If so, they should be fine. If the granules are too big they'll be super scratchy.

I prefer adding regular table salt to CP soap. Dead Sea Salt and Himalayan Salt have moisture which could make your soap weep. If you add enough water to make it smooth, you run the risk if the bars shrinking unevenly.
