Teach Soap

I just finished by first attempt at embeds. I am fairly pleased with the results. This is also my first use of a silicone mold. The one thing I am kinda concerned about is the residual smell of the FO I used in the silicone mold? It has been two days. I have washed the silicone mold in hot soapy water, but the smell from the FO is still fairly strong. Do I just need to let it air out longer? I am worried the smell from this batch, if it lingers in the mold, may carry over to my next batch.

I've never had the smell carry over, but the molds always seem to pick it up with each batch. I had the same fear with my first ultra strong man scent, the mold smelled extremely strongly of it! But the next batch, a lemon cake, didn't pick it up at all!

That's good to know. I like the rose scent I used for this batch, but not sure I want it carried over into other batchs! LOL

I haven't had a scent carry over in my silicone molds. I think you will be fine.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

I had a smell carryover. With pear berry scent. I was shocked. But somehow it has disappeared like a few hours later and soap smell like pumpkin pie again. Oh! I even had a color carryover but it disappeared just as well. Maybe there is something wrong with the mold I have - it is 3D teddy bear one.
