Teach Soap

I was making a shampoo bar, used a lye calculator, got it all measure correctly in grams, and put it to bed. I just unmolded it, 3 days later (because I forgot about it... oops). There are tiny oil droplets around the outside of the soap, clear in color. The insides of the soap, when cut, were perfect. There's just a slight oily sheen around the outside. Any idea why?

I used almond oil, coconut oil, and olive oil. The almond oil had a small amount of essential oil already in it... a few drops at most. At trace, I added an ounce of tee tree oil. Everything went smoothly and there were no problems evident until unmolding.

I'm sure it will be fine to shower with, but since I made it as a shampoo bar, I'm wondering if it's going to leave my hair gross. I just don't know what happened.

Hard to tell much without your recipe. Did you try zap testing it? If it's not lye heavy and the amount of oil is fairly small, it might all absorb back into the soap and be fine. If the zap test is okay, give it more time.

Can you post photos? Sometimes it's Glycerine leaking out. Sometimes it might have overheated a bit. Hard to tell without photos and your recipe though.
