Teach Soap

I want to order some silk to try. Can anyone suggest how much for a beginner to order?? Where do you get it from?? Does anyone use BB liquid silk and is it the same as regular silk??

Any help greatly appreciated. I hate to spend money on something I won't use or isn't the right thing.

You can actually just buy 1 oz of unbleached uncolored tussah silk fiber from any yarn store. 1 oz of that stuff will last you a LONG time. You only need about a quarter coin round piece flat per lb. oil. Liquid silk is too expensive.

I use about a pea size per lb. of soap. Liquid silk is too expensive for soap.

Liquid Silk is a lot more expensive. I bought my tussah silk online and it has been working out great. It took me a couple batches to realize I was using too much but that comes with a lot of things in the soap process.
