Post subject: Cornstarch as a fragrance fixative?

I was told by a friend if mine that she had read about using cornstarch as a f.o. fixative in cp soap. I hadn't heard it before,nor read about it.
What do you think?
If it can be used,what would be appropriate way to go?

I've tried corn starch and kaolin clay and neither made a difference in my soap. Your mileage may vary.
