Howdy,

Do anyone know where to get a loaf mold that can produce a line tall bar?
the one at Soap Equipment is beyond my reach at this time

I love that mold too, but I think its a little overpriced. Plus I'm cheap. Thinking maybe I could get my FIL to make me one.

I'm really wanting to get a taller mold too, just think the height would be fun to play around with more effects in the soap. You can find some on Etsy for pretty good prices sometimes, I have one in my wishlist there now. (No link sorry, I wants it!!) Or if you know someone that is handy with wood, they are super cheap to build!

Just avoid Mrdoright. I swear I have never seen a good result from someone ordering from him! A LOT of complaints, wrong items shipped, broken items, and no response from him. I think I've read 300 threads from people who had issues!

For a custom soap mold, I would go with Rich @ SoapHutch. His will last you a lifetime.

The first soap mold I bought was a 2lb log mold with this profile. It accidentally created some great vertical layers. My husband made me three 10lb log molds very inexpensively with the same profile. Have fun!

I like the long & tall bars too - that is the shape I had Rich make mine (SoapHutch)...he has named it the "rachel" - it is a double log mold - 10lb total. $150

So, I went to HomeDeport and made a single chamber mold using and I am very delighted with the reults. The best part is, it only cost me $6.95.

Yvonne, Guess those molds are out of my price range. Plus I do not make that large of a batch. Are you able to post a photo of the mold you made?
