Ok, I need some more opinions. I have read about all sorts of ways to color CP soap. These include both natural and synthetic colorants. As a newbie, I am looking for the easiest, most reliable way to color soap. I will get more picky about synthetic versus natural when I get some more experience. What do you all think is the most simple, reliable way to color soap?
Thanks!

I use FD&C dyes the most. Micas are a close second.

That's a tough question. I use all of the first three - but they behave slightly differently, so it all depends on what I want it to do.

I made my first batch using the labcolors from BB. I was using Pinemint Blossom FO from Rustic Escentuals so I used a lime and fushia swirl. The only problem is I forgot I was doing Hot Process and added my scents during light trace as in CP. Needless to say the colors were beautiful but NO scent at all. So after sleeping on it for a night I came up with a plan to cut the soap into chunks and then mix the chunks in to a CP batch and remold into my log mold. Well it smells beautful but my Maganese Violet oxide turn grey beige instead of the bright vivid purple I had invisioned. So now I have a nice smelling ugly grey, lime green pink bar. I will say this the chunks stayed solid and with a properly colored batch will be beautiful. Ughh... luckily I still have 3/4's of the original lime and fushia loaf so I am now going to make a strawberry scented CP batch that I will color red and try again. The lengths I go to salvage a batch of soap.

Please don't go with Fabric Dyes or Candle Dyes - very very few are skin safe

I like liquids if possible, but any non bleeding colours :)
