Teach Soap

Hello!

I was just wondering, do you absolutely have to use a wooden mold each time for CP soaps? My friend was makes CP soaps says you MUST use it. I have the wooden mold and all but I don't want to use it yet.

Absolutely not. I have a couple wooden molds but never use them. My regular mold is actually just some plastic drawer organizers from The Dollar Tree.

I was frustrated by lining the molds when I first started, but I watched a few YouTube videos and went to a couple of websites that had step-by-step instructions and finally got my mind around the concept. After a bit of practice, it wasn't so intimidating or bothersome. Right now I only have wooden molds, so am lining them each time, but it doesn't deter me from making any soap .

I use both wooden and silicone molds. I don't mind lining the wood ones at all. I agree that the videos showing how to line the molds can be a big help.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

My husband made me a couple of molds and on those quiet nights in front of the TV I line them so that when I am ready to soap I dont have to make time for that. Its also good for those oops moments and you need to grab an extra mold.

I just made some soaps without using a log mold I hope they come out perfect!!

I don't even own a wood mold. All my molds are silicone or plastic.
