Teach Soap

I want to do a CP soap using chocolate espresso Cybilla FO, which I have used before (and ADORE!), & I know that it discolors dark brown. (yay, no colorant needed) Anyway, I want to put marshmallows on top, like Ann Marie showed us how to make here: http://www.soapqueen.com/bath-and-body- ... mallows-2/

The question is, since my FO definitely discolors, will the brown color fade into the marshmallows on top and discolor them also, or not? Of course I don't intend to fragrance the marshmallows themselves, but I'm worried about migration. Does that kind of thing happen with FO discoloration?

I've never had anything like that happen, but I'm not going to say it absolutely won't happen LOL

I've had that happen. Over time the fragrance migrated into my white portion of the soap.

I've had it happen too! My dragon's blood soap bled super dark brown into my blue and green! I was so annoyed!

I made those mallows for the top of a chocolate soap - valentines day- a couple of years ago. It was fun to do! I did not have issues with the mallows on top getting discolored but then the soap did not stay around very long... guess I have alot of family and friends that want that chocolate smell in the tub?!

Thanks for the advice everyone! I went ahead and tried it, and so far everything seems fine....but then again it's only a week old now, so who knows! It's gotta make it to Christmas, so we'll see! lol
