Teach Soap

Does anyone know where I can find Cyclomethicone? It is a synthetic silicone oil that Anne Marie used for the middle and sides of the veritcal mold to keep the soap from sticking. I was wondering if it would be in Michaels or AC Moore.

I wish I could remember EVERYTHING I needed to order from BB. There is always something I forget to order (and I'm 5 day shipping). I'm working on my 4th order already.

I don't know of a store that carries this except online. Why not use mineral oil (it doesn't saponify) or a light coating of vaseline?

LOL I have an insane wishlist on BB. I just placed an order last night and this morning remembered I'd forgotten to add an essential item to my cart before checking out (got a bit cross-eyed going back and forth selecting colors). Love their "add a note" feature, since I got to add on the item to my order before it shipped. Whew!

Mineral oil is a great idea, at least until you can get the item you'd prefer to work with. Mineral oil is what we use on our round PVC molds.

I use cyclomethicone on the plastic inserts in my vertical wooden mold. It works great. I have however somehow misplaced two of my plastic inserts.......

Mineral oil works great! I use it on my mold inserts and on my silicone molds too! I just wipe a little on with a paper towel.

I hear you with forgetting stuff in my BB orders! Poor Carla always gets stuck adding stuff on afterwards, which slows down the process.... oops? That woman is a lifesaver though!

I never thought of mineral oil or vaseline. They are readily available anywhere. Good to know mineral oil doesn't saponify. Thanks Soapbuddy.

My wish list at BB is growing....It is true, soaping is addictive, my bank account can tell you that, also. I can't wait to get the vertical mold. I so want to do the calendula and beer soap that's on BB. So pretty.
