I've been practicing my piping skills with CP soap, but my main trouble is getting that right thickness of batter. Attempt too soon and it's too soft and just runs everywhere. Leave it too long and it comes soap in a pot.
Obviously depends on the fragrance, heat and other factors.... but supposing I'm using a CP friendly fragrance, and soaping cool, how long do I have before my batter starts to saponify and go hard?
Or, if I'm soaping cool enough, will I be safe not to get that hard soap middle for a while? So far I've only experienced the soap in a bucket when I've left it too long and it's been too hot to begin with - so the centre starts to gel. Or I've used a quick moving fragrance and left it to long and it just comes unmixable.
What's the best way to get a nice thick batter that will hold it's shape on my cupcakes, without being so hard that when I stir it I get lumpy, bumpy goop?
