I just made an olive oil soap, and it's been poured in silicone molds for about 30 minutes...& I just realized I forgot to insulate them, but was hoping to gel this batch. Is it possible to force a gel still? Could I use a heating pad, or fire up my oven for a minute, the turn it off and pop the soaps in for an hour or so? Or is it just too late? ....oh well. Not like it won't still be soap!

After 30 minutes, it shouldn't be a problem. I have heard of some soapers forcing gel on soap that gelled only partially the day after they poured. Only one way to find out!

When I did layers, I waited til the next day to gel.

Ok, thanks. I put them in the oven & am basically CPOPing. Got my hour with the oven on done, so now it's just the cool down. No volcanoes or cracking yet, which I had concerns about, since I've never attempted CPOP before. Hope I don't get heat tunnels.

Unless it overheated, you should not get tunnels.
