I just made a 9 lb batch of soap and had my first separation. Nasty. I used an FO someone gave me from Hobby Lobby. It said good for soap. Not so sure... I blended it all together and glopped it into the mold and am just waiting now. I know it's going to be ugly. I've never rebatched but if I need to I'll come back and get the details from all y'all. What a mess. There is oil all on top and the soap riced.

Oh well :cry:

Yeah, a lot of times when craft store fo's say good for soap, they mean good for mp soap.

What a bummer. All I can say is, make a test batch first when trying a new FO. Less painful if it goes wrong.
