What's your longest shelf life? I had kept a couple of early bars that I made and they are just starting to go off, they are 10 months old. However the very first batch I made (using shea butter and no coconut oil, it is usable but not much foam) is still ok at a year.

there is no general response to this question. Depends on the ingredients you apply. The more unsaturated oils (the higher the Iodine value), the shorter the shelf life. It depends as well on FO or EO, the colorants etc. etc.

I agree with inspiration. I've got some bars from 3 years ago that are still good.

My mother's bar is now 20 years old with no problems except the scent is gone.
