[size=150]I still have a slippery feel on my hands after rinsing even after a 5 week cure. Must be the high oleic in my recipe. Does anyone know what a good percentage of oleic in a recipe is or what number should i strive for on the soap calc? Could my water have anything to do with it? I was thinking of using grapeseed, or sunflower oil in place of olive oil.... HELPsize]

A high percentage of olive oil can cause a slimy feel to soaps. So, if you had a high percentage of olive that might be the reason.
Olive oil has wonderful conditioning properties, and rather than replacing olive in your recipe, you could continue to use olive and balance it with some linoleic - sunflower oil, cocoa butter, wheat germ oil etc.
I'm not sure what a good oleic number is but I have read that somewhere between 35-45 should be a good bet.
The water shouldn't not have caused the slimy feel to the soap.

Are you sure it's not lye heavy? Grapeseed is a soft oil. If you are using high oleic sunflower?

Do all soaps leave that feel? My parents well water causes all soap to feel that way to me.

They have hard water they soften with salt. Just rinsing with the water feels different at their home as compared to our well water.
