Hint #1: let the beer go flat before you boil it, or it goes FOAM and spills out of the pot. It gets your stove sticky! I don't drink beer, so I didn't know how fizzy it is!

Hint #2: remembering to add the beer to your soap makes a much more successful beer soap. Oops? LOL :lol:

So what DID you end up doing with the beer?

What I do to make the beer flat is just pour it between pitchers for a bit. Then I just let it sit for a bit, give it a few more shakes and then its ready to simmer. I can't take up valuable counter/fridge space to let beer sit for a few days to go flat.

I just poured mine into a pot and let it simmer. I didn't have any problem with it foaming over the top of the pot - only with my DH dumping it out while it was cooling! :lol:

The beer is in ice cube form in my freezer still! I will have to make a second soap this weekend with beer! Well, maybe in a couple days. Need my mold free first hehe

I made the beer soap tonight! Beer and colloidal oatmeal with no scent. I added a little bit of TD to this one as it seemed a little bit dark and odd coloured.

Poo! Partial gel! Now I need to leave this one in the mold for a few days, meaning I can't unmold it and reuse my mold again straight away! Did I mention that I love my 9 bar mold? Its SO awesome! *happy dance* :mrgreen:
