Hey folks! Wanting to make a soap with milk (either goat or almond) and avocado. THINKING that I will do this by freezing the milk and using it as my complete liquid portion, but not sure if this will work with avocado added in. Was planning to add avocado puree in to either my oils or at light trace. Opinions? Please and thanks of course! :mrgreen:

It can be done. Keep the milk very cold and stick blend the avocado into your oils first.

I've been watching many videos of milk soaps. I plan to freeze the milk and slowly add the lye to melt it. Seems to be the best way to do a 100% milk soap without burning the sugars.

Thanks Coolah! Will be a small batch first go-round, just enough for my 4 bar rectangle mold from WSP. About 5oz per bar. Now... how do I decide how much avocado to use? LOL :lol:

I have a general question about the milk soaps. Do all milks give the soap similar qualities (ie. animal milk vs nut milk)?

I use 1 oz. puree ppo...stickblended into the oils first, as soapbuddy mentioned

I make my avocado soap with coconut milk. I used to use the freeze until slushy method. Now I do one of two things:

I make a 1:1 lye water solution and mix until dissolved. I then add the coconut milk as the balance of my liquid.

OR, I stick blend coconut milk powder into my oils along with my avocado puree and go from there.

Hope your soap turns out well.
