I see the information about talking to your city clerk about getting a business liscense for selling, if you decide to sell to local craft stores can you bypass this step?

No. You need to have all your paperwork ready to go. This can include city license, resale license, liability insurance etc...

I know in my state all the craft fairs (even small church fairs) ask for a tax id #. In order to obtain one of those in my state you have to register your business with the state and then they whack you $250.00/yr for having a business! :evil:

I should have said "sales tax id#". Which is not the same as your ssn. My bad!
