When they say heat up the whole container of palm oil, does this mean you take the un used portion and just put back in container and it's ok to use it again, what you didn't use? I guess my question would also go for all hard oils.

I think it depends on the type of container you receive it in. If it's in a jug, then you have to melt it to get it out. I transferred mine to a wide mouth container so it could be scooped later.

Same thing with Coconut (76 degree) Oil.

When I ordered Coconut (92 degree) oil, it came in a box so I didn't have to melt it. Just scoop it out and transfer it to a bucket that seals.

You should melt and thoroughly mix your palm oil. If you have a huge container melt it, mix it and separate it into small use sized containers. If it is smaller then you need to melt and mix it each time you use it. The stearic acid in palm oil is heavy and tends to sink, if you don't mix it in each time your soaps will progressively get more and more stearic heavy. You'll end up with little white bits in your soap! I have the BB melt bag palm, I melt the entire bag each time, shake the beegeebers out of it, measure what I need, and let the rest re-solidify. When I had a small bucket of palm I did the same, only I stirred (shaking a bucket could get messy! Especially with me doing it hehe). Hope this helps!

Yes thank you so much for your help. My questions have been completely answered, that is exactly what I needed to know.

I pour mine into small plastic containers of 8-12 ounces. Then I don't have to melt the whole thing repeatedly. When I use the palm, I use a cross section from top to bottom to ensure it's consistent.
