Yes, but I have no idea what the lye is going to do to them. It's one thing putting bioactives in shampoo or creams, another thing in soap.

Yes you can, but be aware that it will serioulsy stink at first. The aloe will also get dark.

thanks for that,,,,,do you know what colour the end product will be?,,,,,,,i'm thinking greenish but now worried it could turn brown

I suspect brown or a greenish brown. Biologicals tend to like going brown in soap.

You would be much better off using the expensive cucumber and aloe vera extracts in a body splash after-shower product. Both do wonders. We recently shipped some samples of creams off to the next town, and the husband of the prospective distributor took his buddy out all afternoon, fishing, shirts off. They used the 'Rescue' cream and reported that it worked almost immediately to kill the pain, reduce the swelling, and stop the inflammation. It's mainly aloe vera - I am continually amazed at just how useful it is. I buy a 10x extract so I only need to put 1% into a product to have 10% aloe vera in there.
Another great thing you can use those two for, is, buy 100 of those cotton face masks. Sell them along with a soak based on cucumber and aloe vera. Instant facial!

It makes no difference whether you add the cucumber or aloe right off or add it at trace. Lye is still active at this point.

My Aloe soap (aloe juice instead of water - no added color) comes out peachy pink!

It does have about 35% coconut oil, I also used May Chang EO...not sure if that had anything to do with it. Either way, it has come out the same peachy pink color both times I have made it and I like it!
