Teach Soap

I know that with CP I should only use containers and utensils I've dedicated for that purpose, but what about the crock pot I would use for HP? Do I need a special one just for it? This might be a silly question, but I haven't seen any tutorial or whatever mention this (which I figured would be a pretty important piece of information if so), and I was wondering if the same rule applied since you are cooking the soap to neutrality?

I haven't tried HP yet, but I really really want to, just wanted to make sure in case I need to buy another pot before I get started.

IMO I would buy a separate crock pot. You can usually find one cheaply at garage sales or thrift stores. You aren't cooking CP soap to neutrality, you are cooking to speed up the saponification process. The pH of handmade soap is at about 9.

Not to mention that you could be adding FO or EO's and maybe coloring. Not meant for eatting. And would you want some of your food smelling like: lavendar, pine, peony etc?

Guess it's lucky that I just found an extra (albeit smaller) crock pot way at the top of my pantry then! =D
