Teach Soap

Anyone ever hear of this company? Apparently it is an all natural skin care "pyramid" type thing...representative sell the products through parties etc. Anyway, just came home from the farmer's market pre-season meeting and looks like there will be a Blue Daisy Naturals rep as one of the vendors. Should be interesting...noticed on the website they sell their bars of cp soap for 8.50/bar....

Their cream won't last long. Potassium sorbate is not a strong enough preservative for body products, unless there's something else added to the willow bark or rosemary leaf extracts and it's not listed.
De-ionized purified water, Vegetable emulsifier, Avocado oil, Stearic acid (vegetable origin), Calendula oil, Kosher Vegetable glycerin, Rose hip oil, Silk protein, Potassium sorbate, Chardonnay extract, Egyptian Geranium essential oil, Vitamin E, Neem oil, Black willow bark extract, Rosemary leaf extract, Tea Tree essential oil.

They claim their soap as 100% natural, but lye is lab made. I guess it depends on how you take the word "natural". There is no way the ingredients are listed in order of predominance.
Saponified Olive, Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Lavender Essential Oil, Castor oils, Deionized (aqua) Water, Jojoba.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. I bet your products are better.

2 oz. jar of shea butter for $22? It's just shea butter with Vitamin E, Lavender & Spearmint essential oil.

Years ago I did buy one of their Shea Butter soaps so I could get one of the paper bracelets, which is really cool by the way. I still have it The soap was blah and left a weird filmy feeling on my skin. After 2 uses I ended up throwing it away because even my husband thought it felt gross. And holy cow, all the medical claims they are making on their catalog! Yikes! You'd think a big company like that would know that just by saying "Products have not been evaluated by the FDA, and are not clinically proven to treat diseases." doesn't keep you from getting in hot water.

I told the store manager and they said "oh ok man". Hell I'd like to get my stuff into Whole Foods,my quality is far better than some of the stuff I see in there,how are these people able to sell stuff that is not properly labeled or customer safe?

Soap that tans you, helps arthritis, weight loss, sunscreen, bug repellant, cures colds, reduces stretch marks, etc.

I particularly like the description for the weight loss soap that states "Weight loss soap penetrates the skin by osmosis resulting in the loss of stored body fat" "Lather, Rinse and say good bye to that ugly fat its that easy"!

haha that is funny! here's one for ya...i recently saw a website that had soap containing fenugreek...they claimed it would increase milk supply in lactating women!

Thanks Linda - I must admit I was pretty bummed when I heard Blue Daisy would be there. I thought about talking to the market coordinator about it (not sure he really knows what Blue Daisy is and I don't know if he even realizes that she does not make her own products)...don't want to rock the boat though since I am new on market circuit. What would you do?
