Teach Soap

I tried an ITP swirl again. The first time was a disaster. A few issues...this batch traced pretty quickly. I'm not sure if my new stick blender or the fragrance (Twilight Woods - WSP) was to blame. I've never soaped this scent before, and probably shouldn't have used an unknown scent when trying to do a swirl. I worked really quickly, but the trace was a lot thicker than I would have liked. The color didn't sink down into the pot - it just glopped on top. I have a feeling the bottom will be pretty solid, and the middle will have SOME kinda swirls going on. At least that's what I'm hoping.

Here's the loaf! I'll post a pic tomorrow afternoon after I've unmolded. I stuck this one in the fridge in the hopes of keeping those bright colors. Plus I refrigerate milk soaps anyway.

Semplice it is a beautiful looking soap on top, so hopefully it will be just as good in the middle and on the bottom. Sorry it traced so quickly.

Thank you! I used the neon colors from BB, but I don't think the orange is going to show up as well as the pink and yellow. The waiting is the hard part!

From what I hear that FO traces pretty quickly for most everyone. I hope yours comes out. I'm looking forward to your cut pics.

There's been more of a couple of times that I thought a batch was toast, but it actually turned out alot better than I thought. You just have to wait until you cut it to see. It's always a surprise as to how it turns out. Good luck.

Yep, I have that mold as well. Love it (along with all of my other silcone molds)!

What a pretty color! Looks like you got a partial gel. I would leave it be for now and see if it evens out as it cures.

I'm wondering if I should cut the rest of the loaf, or leave it be for a few hours. I don't know what difference it would make, though.

If it's completely at room temp and it's hard enough to cut, I would cut it.

It wasn't room temp, but it was firm so I cut it anyway. Will that make a difference?
