Teach Soap

So awhile back I did a soap and needed to split my batch so that coloring and scent would match. Well, one of these batches I chose to do an ITP swirl and the container I used was rectangular in shape (my usual bowl was being used for the other half). I did the usual swirl, poured into my loaf mold and cut within two days. To my suprise I think I can see the rectangle in the bar. So has anyone else experienced the shape of their container influencing the look of the swirl?

Your mold will influence the shape of the swirl. So I would say yes.

There's a huge difference in the way my ITP swirls look when I do them in a loaf mold, compared to in a slab mold or the 12 bar silicone mold, So yes, the container definitely influences the swirl! They look great, Susie!

Genny, yes I was referring to the container that I made the swirl in... I have used my loaf mold many times for an ITP swirl and it never came out like this... the only difference was the rectangle container I swirled in. So after valentines day I purchased on clearance a plastic heart shaped bowl and want to give this a try. But I am not quite sure where to pour my color in.... in relation to the heart shape. Any ideas?

I think I'd try pouring it just below the "V" at the top of the heart. Or maybe at the bottom of the heart and let it fill towards the top. Or maybe...

No matter how I diagram it out I have 5 pour spots - all slightly different except for the one at at the bottom of the V. Currently I have diagramed 5 different pour ideas. Guess it is just going to have to take some trial and error.... too bad I have sooooo many other ideas to try as well.
