Teach Soap

I think this question has been asked here before but I honestly can't find the answer at the moment. Anyway I have read that some people will make their lye mixture way a head of time (even the night before if i remember correctly) and then use it later. I was hoping to try this tonight, but we will see. Does anyone have advice or at least can you direct me to the messages?

Yes you can. Some people masterbatch their lye and also their oils. You just have to make sure that you use heavy duty containers with lids and keep it away from any critters or kids.

I had the best intentions to make my first batch of honey oatmeal soap but time got away from me. I had already mixed the honey with my lye water but it there it sat on my table for almost a week. I asked here if it would be ok to use and was told to give it a try. I didnt even bother to heat it back up just made sure that my oils were at a good temp, around 130 F, and the soap turned out wonderful! I use a large mason jar and screw a lid on it to keep it safe. Definitely leave it somewhere it cant get knocked over.
