Overheat maybe?

I'm planning to do a double layered soap later today but I have a question! The bottom layer will be cherry blossom, and may overheat (darn you florals!) while the top layer will be unscented so it stays whiter. If the bottom is going to over heat will I be able to tell from looking at the top? I would like to gel the soap but am unsure what to do with it and possible overheating! Help please!

I would start with the unscented layer first, then the Cherry Blossom over the top of that. That way you can keep an eye on the top layer.

I have embeds to stick out of the top of the white. Hrm, maybe I'll scent the entire batch and hope it doesn't go too yellow. The FO is pretty clear.

Scared the crap out of myself, went to check it and saw a couple little pools of liquid. I thought "NOOO its overheating!!!!" Then I realized it was alcohol that I had pretty much drenched the top with. Oops? :oops:
