Teach Soap

Has anyone tried these in CP?





I know the sparkle effect won't come through in CP, it is mainly the colour I am interested in!

You can get beige using goat's milk, a small amount of vanilla or a tiny bit of cocoa powder. The gold will get lost unless you use a lot. The rest should be fine.

I have used the gold sparkle mica to give the top of my soaps a gental shimmer. I will mix a small scoop of the mica in about 1/2 oz of grapeseed oil, place in a syringe and squirt on top of the soap. The oil soaks in and leaves the mica behind. Now be aware it is not like sprinkling glitter on top, just a hint of shimmer.

Was thinking of using the gold and beige to just add that creamy colour. Never thought to just add some goat's milk. Does the powder make it a little beige like the liquid milk?

Powdered milk doesn't generally discolour as much - it's usually the sugars in the fresh milk that 'brown' from what I understand. You will still get a light discoloration with powdered milk though.

Thanks! Liquid goat's milk here is about $8 a litre. It is much cheaper in the US if I remember correctly. I think I can even get it at the Amish market!

Tried several BB micas in CP soap before I was aware that micas do not work, I ended up using all the soap for personal use only. Enough said . . .

A LOT of micas work in CP! I especially love merlot sparkle mica!

If you add the powdered goats milk to the water, then add the lye you will end up with creamy yellow color. I did this for several soaps. Even the coconut soap that I mixed with water and then lye in my mothers day soap has given me a cream color.

Wow, never mind the TKB one. SUPER rude email replies when I asked about a colour being CP safe. One of the 2 questions that got through (out of the 20 or so I tried to ask). Thinking my 1 order from them will be my last.
