I want to make a pure castille soap. does this soap come out very soft and take a long time to cure?
could I mold it in a round pvc pipe to make it round?

If you discount your water and don't add any scent, it should harden up fast. I've never tried a PVC pipe, so that I don't know. It does need a long time to cure and it doesn't matter if it's CP or HP.

My castille is only about 4 weeks old and is SOLID. I did a 10% water discount to speed up trace some. Will still let it sit the full 6 months though. I was able to cut it after ~12 hours, probably earlier if I hadn't had to sleep LOL :lol:

I did force gel on mine though.

hello everyone, i'm VERY new to this and have just made my first castille soap. i was able to cut it after 24 hours. it now has a solid spot of darker colour in the centre - will this fade away?
