Teach Soap

I've been looking at and was wondering if you could use an injector tool or paint brushes and MP in the design, then fill the rest with CP. Would you need to prepare the MP layer somehow before filling the mold with CP?

If the CP gels, wouldn't the MP move away from the inside of the design? Why not do it CP, then paint the design with some mica?

Heather, I have done that. Poured some M&P into the design of the mold and then the CP soap and it worked out fine. I think because it is a single mold my soaps tend not to gel in them, unless I force it, which I did not. The only thing I had to work with was contrast of coloring so the design would actually 'pop'.

I was thinking I'd pop it in the fridge to avoid gel, figured the heat from Gel might mess up the MP. Might have to add this mold to my wishlist!

I have some molds (cameos) that I plan to treat like that.

I'll post pictures when I get them done, and when Photobucket gets over its current fit.
