Teach Soap

Need help maybe. Here is a series of pictures of my lavender swirl. I think the problem is soda ash. I tried the suggestions in the other thread of getting rid of soda ash(soap has been curing for a week, so it may not work at this time in the cure-IDK-this is where I need experienced soapers help)

Anyway....


Here is soap unmolded and cut-day one


Here is the soap on day three of cure


Here it is at week 1 and 2 days of cure


Here is part of a piece that I trimmed(sorry picture is blurry and you may not be able to see it very well), but the "inside" of the trimmed piece doesn't have the "ashy" look.


Any help would be appreciated.

Lavender is very well known to ash. I would just embrace it. It is handmade soap after all.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

So working with lavender it's just one of those accidental cool mistakes?! Glad to know as that is next on my to do list! By the way Debbie I love your swirl and I'm wondering how you did it.

I also had ash when using lavender. I no longer produce soap with that aroma.
