Teach Soap

Do these colours bleed? I have read that they do, and that they don't. Google can't even answer me on this one! I have the lab colour concentrate.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

Nuts!!! The site I ordered it from says non-bleeding. Hrm, how to get a nice purple colour! My ultramarine violet doesn't work so well with the EVOO I got at Costco, it goes kind of an icky grey-brown.

I get good results using an oil-based violet colour - it comes as a powder, I wish I could give you some useful info, but it's from a local colour/flavour/aroma company. Not terribly expensive. The only problem I have with it, is that I need to maintain a small jar of it pre-dissolved, as otherwise I'll get spots of intense colour like freckles. I have to say though, that when I use violet with blackberry aroma, the aroma gets discoloured and the soap base colour becomes tan, which doesn't work too great with violet.

I have only used it once, I can't say that it bled throughout my soap but I'm not good at swirls haha....I wouldn't know it was me or the color But I did have it bleed in terms of the bubbles...my bubbles were fushia pink. I have switched to using mica and I like the overall results much better.

It was for any batch that I wanted purple in. Maybe I'll buy another 4oz jar and pre-mix my oxide with some sweet almond oil and see if it helps. The last purple I did I ended up mixing blue and red oxide, I got the "freckles" of colour in the cut edges, luckily mom thinks its awesome! But I don't like how it looks. I wish TKB still did that grape pop mica!! Their "neon" pruple goes orange in CP. Just can't find a nice purple. *grumble*
