Has anyone noticed that their CP soaps using Vanilla Select fragrance is soft or sticky? And stays that way?

Nope, sorry. Are you sure it's the only different thing in that batch? You didn't change anything else?

1/2 oz per lb of soap. I really don't dig it. Can you reccomend another vanilla for CP? my recipe is olive, palm ,coconut and caster oils

I've never found an FO that had vanilla or vanillin to work for me in soap making. The scent is satisfactory but it will turn your bars a dirty brown or poopy color no matter how much "whitener"..ie., Titanium dioxide that you put in it. So far as the stickiness and softness is concerned your choice of oils should be all right. Maybe u should run your recipe through SoapCalc again and adjust your superfat. Remember, that Bastille or Castile soap by its very nature MAY be on the slimy or sticky side.

thank you for your imput Jerry. This is the same recipe as the rest of my soaps. I think I just don't have much luck with this vanilla. Anybody tried Warm Vanilla Sugar in their CP and at what rate? How about Vanilla Vanilla? Im looking to try a new one.

Wow I have never had those colored bubbles with Warm Vanilla Sugar! And the soap is a golden honey color. I embrace the discoloration as virtually every one loves vanilla scents. Good luck with your search
