I'm off the the kitchen to do up some turkey day food prep for the celebration. No soaping but that's ok too.

Green bean casserole made with white wine, must have ingredient mushroom soup, crispy onions and fresh green beans. A family classic from the 60's.

Fresh Cranberry salad in sugarless gello base. A compote including ground up whole oranges, toasted pecans, celery, mini apple cubes. More like a compote and so yummy. Serve with yogurt or mayo dab. Family favorite!

We are getting ready at my dtrs house .... but our greenbean salad also includes wax beans and of course cheese. I tried to talk her into cheesy mashed potatoes but it was a no go. And sadly the pies will be boughten... air travel yesterday to here was a zoo and took us over 12 hours! But I am thankful for that because I LOVE being here!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, too!

My hubby and I recently moved so it's just the two of us this year and we're planning on having a quiet day at home. Today I made a pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce, and cornbread for the cornbread stuffing that I'll finish up tomorrow. Also going to roast a turkey breast and bake a broccoli and cheese casserole tomorrow. We'll also watch some football and have a couple of brews. My husband is a long-suffering Dolphins fan, so he's eager to see how they do against the Cowboys.

Hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving! :D

I made 2 cheesecakes today, one for DH's side (we go tomorrow) and one for my side (we go saturday). DH is making Oyster Soup tomorrow at his sister's house. Everyone is else bring dishes with them also.
