Teach Soap

I was wanting to make this receipe and I do not have enough of all the ingredients. I am still a new soaper and still kinda scare to try and come up with something else.

187.5 grams lye
19 oz.water
11 oz o.o.
8 oz jojoba oil (I only have 6 oz)
16 oz c.o.
8 oz cocoa butter
8 oz palm oil (I only have 1 oz)

What I do have is lots of castor oil
about 9 oz of apricot kernal oil
11 oz sweet almond oil
16 oz safflower oil
5 oz shea butter
lots of cocoa butter
lard

Hi donna! I ran your recipe through soapcalc.

Here's what I would use:
11 oz oo
16 oz coconut
8 oz apricot kernel oil (replaces jojoba)
8 oz cocoa butter
8 oz lard (replaces palm oil)
3 oz castor

You would need to run it through a lye calculator at whatever superfat you were using and to get the correct amount of lye & water. Soapcalc shows this recipe as a fairly hard bar with a good amount of bubbles and lather.

Try Linda's recipe. With yours, I would leave the jojoba oil out. Save that for balms.
